Plein Air  - Art in the Park for Kids aged 7 to 13 is happening for the 5th year on May 17, 2025!
The French Impressionists loved to create art outdoors.  Their work inspired us to create a program in Brightwood Park so that our community can enjoy the pleasure of doing the same.  Given the popularity of this program, we are offering this event again!

We are excited that the kids’ program will be led by the winner of last year’s art competition for the adults, Alexandra Loop, an art teacher for grades K-8 in the Elizabeth Public Schools.  She’ll be accompanied by Stacy Plummer, a Westfield artist known for the paintings she’s made in Westfield store front windows.  That’s in addition to her work at the Fanwood Scotch Plains YMCA, training lifeguards and swim instructors, giving swimming and archery lessons, and working in the water with kids who have disabilities.
