Brightwood Park: A Journey Through Four Seasons photo exhibit serves as a visual celebration of the natural splendor that graces our nature preserve throughout the year.  The exhibition, thoughtfully curated by 2 local photographers, includes captivating images that beautifully capture the essence of each season.  The photos share the diversity of life, both flora and fauna, amid the changing colors of the landscape that make Brightwood Park a true sanctuary.

We are thrilled to unveil this remarkable photo exhibit with two Friends of Brightwood Park member photographers.  It is our hope that this exhibit will encourage people of all ages to enjoy, appreciate, and preserve this natural treasure that is unique to Westfield.  We hope that this exhibit also inspires more photographers to share their art.   Our photographers have generously offered their art to promote a culture of loving our living place, valuing it, and working together to make it a better place.

Meet the photographers:
Chuan-Chu Chou has lived in Westfield for 35 years.  He is a self-appointed ranger for Brightwood Park.  After retiring from a 38-year career in the pharmaceutical industry, he fell in love again with forestry, his college major.  Brightwood Park is the place of his daily adventures and dreams of fusion into nature.  He surveys plants, mushrooms, wildlife, and seasonal changes of the park.  He loves to photograph what he sees and share those findings with his neighbors.

Lloyd Marks has worn many hats – pediatric cardiologist, inventor of patented medical devices, loving father, devoted husband and avid photographer.  A long-time Westfield resident, he has spent over five decades behind the camera lens.  His photography has captured awe inspiring snapshots that are sure to delight and stir the senses in the way that art is meant to do.  He is anxious to share the photographic images he takes of Brightwood Park.

Location

Brightwood Park is on the North end of Prospect Street.  Go past Franklin School and look for the entrance on the left.
