Steps to the St. Thomas A.M.E. Zion Church today.

The site for St. Thomas AME Zion Church was purchased in 1913 and the founders operated a mission onsite until the church and rectory was completed in 1917.

The new Church would remain in operation until 1968, when it was acquired through condemnation by the Town of Westfield. The steps to the Church still exist on Fanwood Avenue today.

Location

Brightwood Park is on the North end of Prospect Street. Go past Franklin School and look for the entrance on the left.
